Kullu shawls occupy a place of pride among the native handloom products. World famous for their traditional patterns and quality, they are reasonable in cost.

A shawl is a light woollen fabric measuring 1 x 2 meters. The designs mostly in various geometric patterns are along the ends of the shawl. Each design may have from one to eight colors. Women usually drape it around and over the chest and shoulders. Generally, the yarn is Merino wool, Angora wool, Pashmina wool, local sheep wool or a combination of any of these. Men also wear shawls known as Loi or Chaddar.

Angora, Pashmina and Local wool shawls are in a range of there own mixing the classic traditional designs with modern designs in classic wools like Angora and Pashmina.
